Brooklyn Where The Weak Are Killed And Eaten 1987 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95New York City in the 1980s was defined by a severe crime wave, fueled by the crack epidemic, economic decline, and poverty, leading to high rates of murder, robbery, and gang violence that made daily life dangerous, especially in the subways and certain neighborhoods, though police and community efforts later emerged to combat the crisis. This Brooklyn design one is a tongue in cheek tourist tee from the '80s that's been brought back for another round. Today, Brooklyn is a much safer place than it used to be, but crime is still a major concern, especially in certain neighborhoods, but that doesn't mean those who live there don't go hard... keep your head on a swivel! -

No More Mr. Nice Guy 1982 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95"No More Mr. Nice Guy" is a declaration of setting boundaries and ceasing people-pleasing behavior, often after feeling taken advantage of. It's also the title of a classic rock song and a self-help book about men overcoming the "Nice Guy Syndrome" of neglecting their own needs for approval. It signifies a shift from being overly accommodating to asserting oneself and prioritizing personal needs, reflecting a refusal to be a doormat any longer. Pairing statements like "No More Mr. Nice Guy" with random cartoon characters was a trend in the '80s, and this crankosaurus rex is bringing it back with all the attitude that made it work! -

At the Guadalajara Medical Centre, psychiatrist Dr. Manuel Jose Olvera Sebastian Rudolfo Ortiz Pancho Jimenez Perez III (Mexico's finest), discovers that his Daffy has lethal amounts of catnip in his blood, and he must discover the source. Turns out that right across the street is the Continental Catnip factory, and decides that the only solution is to destroy it, arousing the rage of neighborhood cats, including Sylvester. Don't read too much into it - it's a '60s era cartoon. -

New Orleans City of Jazz 1997 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95Jazz music was born in the vibrant neighborhoods of New Orleans, Louisiana in the early 20th century, blending African rhythms, blues, ragtime, and brass band traditions into a joyful, improvisational sound. Musicians played in parades, dance halls, and street corners, creating a lively culture where solos and group interplay brought songs to life in new ways each night. Goblin’ Time 1951 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95Necco Wafers date back to 1847 when Oliver Chase, an English immigrant, invented a lozenge cutting machine with which he produced candy wafers. At the time of the Civil War, these were called "hub wafers" and were carried by Union soldiers. In 1901, Chase and Company merged with two other companies to incorporate the New England Confectionery Company (NECCO). By 1912, the wafers were being advertised as "Necco Wafers," a name they carried ever since. Each roll contained eight flavors: lemon (yellow), lime (green), orange (orange), clove (purple), cinnamon (white), wintergreen (pink), licorice (black), and chocolate (brown). From a 1951 Halloween advertisement, this design shows three kids in costumes feeding a giant jack-o'-lantern Necco Wafers. -

Lake Parlin House & Lodges 1909 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95Henry Patrick “H.P.” McKenney was an American woodsman, lumberman, outdoor enthusiast, businessman, and fire warden in Jackman Station (now known as just Jackman), Maine. He started several logging and sporting camps in the area, including Lake Parlin House and Lodges. Opening its doors in 1909, Lake Parlin House was a purpose built residence designed as full service resort accommodations on the shore of Lake Parlin (now known as Parlin Pond). Within the first few years, cabins were added to the property, which were known as the 'lodges' for folks wanting a more rustic experience. An early brochure promoted it as "a modern hotel in the heart of Maine's wild woods offering fishing, hunting, and canoeing for American families, combining modern amenities with rustic charm." Sadly, a fire in the '50s burned the main house down, leaving the property to change hands several times over the years, but was eventually rebuilt and reopened under a new name decades later. -

Mineshaft NYC 1976 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95835 Washington Street began life as a humble butcher shop and meatpacking plant in the '30s, but after the industry declined in the '50s and '60s, it began a new life. With unassuming names like Cycle, Den, Zodiac, and OK Corral, it was a revolving door of gay bars for years, though in 1976, a long term resident moved in. Mineshaft, a gay BDSM private club, operated here between '76 and '85. With a strict dress-code of denim and leather only, and no preppy outfits, suits, sneakers, or cologne, Mineshaft catered to their clientele desires by ensuring the patrons were all looking the part. Just inside the door was the bar area with low lights and pool tables, but behind a partition was the “action” part of the club on two floors. There was an entire wall of glory holes, themed play rooms including a re-creation of a jail cell, the back of a truck, and dungeons among others, as well as several performance spaces. -

Bop Street Records 1979 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95Bop Street Records first opened on Seattle's Aurora Avenue in 1979, later moved to Ballard Ave in 1984, and moved again in 2010, though just a few blocks away to Market Street. The store was a favorite with collectors who loved finding rare gems among Bop Street's extensive 500,000 recordings, but was also just a great place to stop in to buy records. Bop Street's prestige extended well beyond Seattle’s borders, being named as one of the best five record stores in the country, though sadly, global events of 2020 forced the store to close several years ahead of the owner's intended retirement.
