Madame Wang’s Hong Kong 1963 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95If you were a sailor whose ship called on Hong Kong in the '60s and '70s, odds are that you were a regular patron at Madame Wang's. Tucked away on Yau Tong Pier off Kwun Tong Tsai Bay, Madame Wang's was easy to get to without needing a taxi, so sailors made up the bulk of their customers. The place was decidedly divey and the kind of place where one could make a deal to procure anything from grey market jewelry and electronics to exotic drugs and female companionship. Long gone are the seedy days of Yau Tong Pier, though we're sure there are still a few Madame Wang's around Hong Kong today if you know where to look. -

White Mountain Cooler 1985 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95White Mountain Cooler was an alcoholic beverage that debuted in the US market in 1985, and while it was often referred to as a wine cooler, White Mountain's beverages were actually 'beer coolers,' using on malted (beer) bases. Despite a crowded market, White Mountain Cooler became the top-selling brand of 'malternative' beverages within a couple of years, and held the spot through the late '90s. Aslo known as 'beer coolers,' the beverages were very sweet and came in strong fruit flavors such as Wild Raspberry, Original Citrus, and Cranberry Splash that obscured the taste of its malt base. It was considered a popular alternative to beer, and was often targeted toward women and younger consumers with it's easy drinkability.. White Mountain was sold in 12 oz. bottles, with an alcohol content similar to that of beer (approximately 5% ABV), and was also available on draft, and in 32 and 40 oz. bottles in select markets. -

All Gave Some, Some Gave All 1975 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95The phrase "all gave some, some gave all" was first uttered by Howard William Osterkamp, a Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient who continued to fight for his country even after his leg was broken. He was acknowledging the fortuitous fact that he made it out of Korea with his life, while so many others had not. Osterkamp's quote gained new life after the fall of Saigon, marking the end of the Vietnam War and the considerable number of American lives that were lost, including many who remained as prisoners of war or missing in action. This reimagining of a patriotic '70s patch brings this one back again to remind those who made it home and those who didn't that their sacrifice is not forgotten. -

I Want to Believe 1993 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95The X-Files portrayed a world full of government conspiracy, unsolved mysteries, and paranormal phenomena that didn't align with rational perceptions. Shapeshifters, telekinesis, extraterrestrials, cryptids, urban legends, ghosts, Native American lore, and much, much more all came together to make the X-Files what it was. Nothing made sense. Answers were rare. And we loved it. “I want to believe,” was a core sentiment of the show and its viewers that came from an iconic item on the show: the UFO poster that hung behind the Special Agent Fox Mulder's desk in his basement office. When The X-Files became a hit in the mid-’90s, replicas of the poster were found on the bedroom wall of every self-respecting X-Phile as it was a special link to the show and Mulder’s hopeful yet tortured conviction that the truth was out there, shrouded in conspiracy, waiting to be uncovered. Mulder says he acquired his "I Want to Believe" poster from a head shop on M Street and hung it in his basement office back in March 1992. This is our take on that now famous poster in shirt form, so never stop believing... and trust no one. -

Cosmic Ark 1982 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95Cosmic Ark is a video game published by Imagic in 1982. The objective is to gather specimens from different planets in a spaceship which contains the survivors from the city of Atlantis. There are two versions of the cartridge. One allows the player to toggle the star field display on and off with the Black & White / Color TV switch, and another in which the star field cannot be disabled. The first stage has the player fending off meteor showers from all four sides of the screen by pushing the joystick to fire in the desired direction, similar to the 1980 arcade game Space Zap. The second stage requires the player to pilot a shuttle to a planet and use its tractor beam to pick up life forms. While near the planet's surface, planetary defenses will fire at the shuttle. If hit, one previously captured specimen will be freed, forcing the player to retrieve another. After a set period of time, a klaxon will warn of renewed meteor activity, and the player must return immediately to defend the ark. -

Casa Lupita Seattle 1971 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95It's hard to imagine a city like Seattle not having a Mexican restaurant, but as of the early '70s, that was still the case. Casa Lupita changed that when it opened its doors in 1971 next to the airfield, five miles south of downtown. After experiencing the best Mexican food they had ever had in a small truck stop restaurant in rural Texas, two business partners made the proprietor, Guadalupe 'Lupita' Alvarez Darst, an offer she couldn't refuse. The deal would have Lupita running a brand-new restaurant in Seattle, the use of her name, and of course, her secret family recipes. The original Casa Lupita was a rousing success, and was quickly proven to be undersized. The small original location was eventually closed in favor of two larger restaurants — one on Eastlake Ave. and the other on East Marginal Way. Sadly, Lupita only got an initial glimpse at her restaurant's success, as she passed away just ten days after the grand opening. In 1982, Casa Lupita was purchased by a national steakhouse chain with plans to expand into the Midwest, Southeast and Florida, but the chain failed to capture the magic of the original, and eventually failed. -

Covington, and artist Joe Harris in the creation of television cartoon shows to sell breakfast cereals for General Mills. The shows introduced such characters as King Leonardo, Tennessee Tuxedo, and Underdog. Biggers and Stover contributed both scripts and songs to the series. When Underdog became a success, Biggers and his partners left Dancer Fitzgerald Sample to form their own company, Total Television, with animation produced at Gamma Studios in Mexico. In 1969, Total Television folded when General Mills dropped out as the primary sponsor. -

Berliner Kindl Jubiläums Pilsener Premium 1872 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95In February 1872, a group of eight beer loving German innkeepers got together in Rixdorf (present day Neukölln), to brew their own beer, organizing as Vereinsbrauerei Berliner Gastwirte zu Berlin AG. Their first batch was a bottom-fermented Pilsner, and much to everyone's surprise, it was really good. Inspired, they continued to hone their craft and by the turn of the century, they were ready to move beyond craft brewing and go big. The innkeepers delivered free cases of their brew to every single bar, restaurant, and inn throughout Berlin. Their strategy worked as orders began flooding in, and within a decade, Berliner Kindl had become the most popular beer in Berlin. Despite the brand's well established heritage and high availability in the city, Berliner Kindl's brews are largely considered a working-class hero beer. -

Mighty Max 1992 Vintage Men’s T-Shirt
$29.95Mighty Max was a 1992 UK toyline from Bluebird Toys featuring miniature horror-themed adventure playsets aimed mainly at boys. Following the Polly Pocket model of compact, portable playsets with miniature figures and accessories, Mighty Max traded shopping malls and pink apartments for cursed mummy tombs and frozen aliens. The main sets, called “Doom Zones,” opened to reveal small scenes with monsters and the hero Max—a blond kid in jeans, a white shirt with a red “M,” and a cap. Smaller “Horror Heads” were creature-shaped heads that opened to show tiny figures. Larger, less portable sets later expanded the line with more accessories and play features. In 1994, due to the popularity of the playsets at the time, McDonald's offered a Mighty Max Happy Meal featuring exclusive playsets. The franchise also spawned a two season, 40 episode cartoon series and a video game on SNES and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, though neither matched the toys’ popularity. The Mighty Max backstory is pretty straight forward: "Max was bright and pretty good at getting in and out of trouble, but he'd never forget the day he broke his mom's mysterious old statue and found the Cosmic Cap inside. How was he to know it made him 'the Mighty One,' able to travel instantly from place to place by means of time portals? And how were Max, his Cosmic Cap and his two friends and protectors, wise old Virgil and fearless Norman gonna' measure up against the ultimate evil of the Skull Master!!? Stumbling from one terrifying adventure to another with only cryptic clues to help him escape... he was all alone. He was scared. But he was MIGHTY MAX, and he'd get back somehow!" -
